MMCC's Commercial Drivers License Program combines classroom and hands-on training to prepare students for acquiring their Class-A CDL. Each student learns key functions of vehicle systems, including diesel engines, auxiliary systems, brakes, drive train coupling systems, suspension and the importance of each for safe and efficient operation.
Also students will learn about Federal and State requirements, and the need for permits. Finally, students will drive on the range, as well as on a public roadway, to practice maneuvers and operations to learn skills in those areas.

Classes are conducted Monday through Friday: 8 am - 4:30 pm, and are comprised as follows.
Currently the program fee is $3,900; which includes Department of Transportation physical, drug screen, TIP license, textbooks and testing fees.
No refunds will be offered once the program has started.
Those interested in obtaining a CDL Class A License should inquire at their local Michigan Works! agency regarding financial assistance. (Federal Financial Aid does not qualify for this program.)
Program costs may be significantly or completely offset through MI Works! Assistance programs. Contact your local Michigan Works! office or MID to learn more about whether you might qualify.
