Ohio Business College Truck Driving Academy

This is a truck driving school located within Ohio Business College. It combines classroom instruction with on-the-road training. The school has its own yard for students to practice in. Classes start every other week, which means students never have to wait long once they decide to enroll in CDL school.

What Programs Does Ohio Business College Offer?

  • Class A CDL Training Program - The program enters students into the commercial driver field as qualified second-seat (trainee) tractor-trailer drivers. Students who meet the 160-hour Class A CDL course requirements – including five days of classroom instruction, driving range practice, and on-road instruction – will become licensed commercial tractor-trailer drivers. Classes start every other Monday, with weekend classes available.
  • Class B CDL Training Program - This program prepares students to become a qualified commercial truck or bus driver. The 120-hour, three-week course lets you learn behind the wheel. Students attend a short five-day seminar before driving range training and on-road instruction. Classes start every other Monday.

Job Placement

Several recruiters from local carriers give visits to talk about your trucking career on a regular basis and discuss upcoming employment opportunities. Students are given advance notice of these visits, and a schedule is available in the student placement services office.
