Tidewater Community College’s Truck Driver Training Program offers classes that cover Department of Transportation rules and regulations, defensive driving, maintenance, hazardous material and highway and city driving.

Class Schedule
Day Classes: Monday through Thursday, 7am-2pm
Night Classes: Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00pm-11pm
Tuition and Fees
Estimated Program cost: $2,965.60 (not including textbooks and supplies) *Based on Fall 2018 in-state tuition. Your actual cost may differ.
The Tractor Trailer Driver Handbook/Workbook, Driver's Daily Log, Hazardous Materials, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations are approximately $65. Students are required to purchase a yellow DOT safety vest, available at the Barnes & Noble at TCC bookstore in MacArthur Center, Norfolk.
