Trainco Truck Driving School

Trainco Truck Driving school was started in 1996 by a former truck driver. It has three locations that provide CDL training. Locations are in Ohio, Michigan and Arizona. Trainco has graduated over 10,000 students and has a 90% placement rate. The best feature of the school is it's affordable tuition - only $3,995 for the CDL A course.

What Programs Does Trainco Offer?

• Full CDL Class A Program - This complete tractor-trailer training program prepares you for your CDL driving exam and provides an entry to the trucking industry. The school trains students with full-size, Class A tractor-trailer combinations. The tractors, in cab-over and conventional styles, mostly use 9- and 10-speed transmissions. They also have super 10 and automatic transmissions in our fleet, hauling 48- and 53-foot vans.
• Accelerated Program - A 40-hour refresher is designed to polish the skills of a driver with previous experience or hone the abilities of a student preparing for the CDL exam. Entrants review progress shifting, coupling and uncoupling, the five “seeing” habits, a variety of backing maneuvers and much more.
• Class B Prep Course - Learn the key elements of the CDL Class B driving exam in this inexpensive, highly effective one-day test preparation course. This is not a driver-training course, but students learn all pre-trip inspection points, perform required maneuvers and gain on-road experience with a licensed instructor. Students train in a 5-yard, 18-foot automatic Class B dump truck or a 24-foot automatic straight truck.
• Class B Bus Prep Course - As with the “B” training, Trainco teaches the primary elements of the CDL B Bus exam in this very affordable, highly effective one-day test preparation course. Again, this is not a driver-training course, but students learn pre-trip inspection points, perform required maneuvers and gain on-road experience with a licensed instructor, all while guiding a 35-seater Class B passenger bus.

Tuition And Financing

Trainco's tuition for the CDL A course is $3,995.

• Trainco works with American Loan and Lending to provide private loans to qualified students. A.L.L. was founded in 2013, and is dedicated to assisting Trainco students by offering tuition financing through short term loans. Applicants with good credit but temporarily out of work, and those with “bruised” credit who provide co-signers, are encouraged to apply.
• The school accepts clients from government funding programs including Michigan Works and the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

Program For Military Veterans

Trainco Truck Driving Schools is listed on the VA website as a federally-recognized participant in the “Principles of Excellence” program. The Perrysburg campus is VA approved.
