Western Truck School is your road to getting the training you need to pursue a career in the trucking industry. They offer more than just training, upon completion students will receive job placement assistance as WTS maintains relationships with major trucking companies in the California area.

What Programs Does The Western Truck School Offer?

  • Class A Commercial Driver Program Program - 160 clock hours of intensive training to be completed in 4 – 8 weeks, covering DOT safety rules and state regulations, field training for highway, rural and city driving (including day and nighttime traffic conditions), defensive driving, backing, emergency procedures and safety are emphasized.
  • Class A Commercial Driver Extended Program Program - This program adds 20 hours of expanded skills training to the entry level 160 Class A Commercial Driver Program to enhance your core competencies and propel your career.
  • Class B/P Combined Commercial Driver Program - This combined program’s educational objectives are to prepare individuals to take the Class B commercial drivers and Passenger bus endorsement license examinations. This combined program is offered year round on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Class A Advance Commercial Driver Program - An extension of the tractor trailer operator program, includes advanced instruction to qualify you for the best jobs.
  • Class A Master Commercial Driver Program - The most robust educational program offered and features an internship program to accelerate your career path.
  • Class B Commercial Driver Program - 40 hours of intensive training with a one-to-one instructor-to-student training ratio, standard Class B box or modified Class A vehicles are used, field training for highway, rural and city driving including day and nighttime traffic conditions, and defensive driving, backing, emergency procedures and safety are emphasized.
  • Class P Passenger Commercial Driver Program - Complete preparation for becoming a professional bus driver.
  • Class A/P Combined Commercial Driver Program - The tractor trailer operator program training coupled with passenger bus training.
  • Class A or B Specialized/Refresher Commercial Driver Program - The course you need to reactivate your license and update your skills.
  • Forklift Program - The program you need to obtain certification and safety training on an industrial forklift.

Tuition And Financing

Tuition varies based on the program you select. WTS provides many different training programs and may also customize a program for your specific needs. The admissions department at WTS will assist students with tuition costs and financing options.

Program For Military Veterans

Western Truck School is veteran owned and operated. WTS welcomes veterans with open arms, aiming to assist you with job training and placement through our various truck driver training programs.

Schedule an appointment with Western Truck School to determine if you meet the qualifications of our training program. Please bring a 10-year DMV printout and valid driver license to your appointment.

Admission Requirements

  • A copy of your current driver’s license
  • Social Security Card
  • Proof of education (high school diploma or GED)
  • A copy of your H6 (10 year DMV report)
  • You will be required to complete a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen prior to attending class.
