York County School of Technology has graduated more than 1,400 students over the past 21 years. The school says it has "built a reputation for producing qualified, skillful drivers with the knowledge and attitude necessary to get the job done."
Real-life situations are incorporated into the program so students will have the confidence and skills needed to enter the job market. To do that, class sizes are kept at a level to allow students ample vehicle time to acquire those skills.

The admissions procedure includes interviewing with the CDL Coordinator, arranging for payment of tuition, passing a DOT physical and drug screen, obtaining knowledge test authorization, and providing an MVR driving record.
The 200-hour Class A program is offered as a full-time class operating Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., requiring approximately five weeks for completion. Also, part time week-end classes 8:00 - 5:00 requiring approximately twelve week-ends to complete. The program consists of three phases: Classroom, Yard, and Road Time.
