Advice Needed on Career Change

Hello My name is Daffydd, this is my first post and I need some advice. First off let me give you some background. I am 44 yo that is going through a divorce with 2 children involved. the divorce is amicable, I am in a new relationship where my significant other is aware of all the things that come with trucking, and would be supportive of my decision. She however is pregnant, almost 3 months. I dont want to be like my dad and be workaholic, but I am. Second thing you must understand is that I am a retired Paramedic/Firefighter that was forced to retire due to mental heath issues. I did that job for 22 years and saw some really horrific things. I currently am trying to work through these things . I know right now that i am in a much better place than when i was almost 2 years ago when i had my nervous breakdown. Third, I will get into why I want to get into trucking. I want to be an O/O while also having a small fleet. the reason for this is so that A. I can have the solitude to continue to get my mind straight. B. I want to make money so that i can retire from the road in the next 15 years, while reaping the benefits of the company that i have formed. C. I want to be able to leave my kids something as a legacy so that they dont have to struggle through life for money like I did.

With all this being said I have a lot of anxiety and PTSD issues. I started CDL school but had to drop due to failing my DOT physical. I have since taken care of all the issues and can restart school at the beginning of November.

My other career choice is that I have an interview next Friday with Procter and Gamble for a plant job. I currently work there as a temp.

I dont know what to do.

I know this is super long but i wanted to paint the picture

thanks

Daffydd
