So I know this might sound a little absurd. I realize Hawaii is no where near the Continental United States.
I've been working driving jobs since I was 16 years old. Ive only had a three month gap in my employment history, but I was at the time going to school full time and still receiving checks from my old job (they delayed the payments). Currently, I'm stuck delivering pizzas at the busiest store on our island, making a decent living out of it, surprisingly. I am seeking a complete lifestyle change though. I figured the next logical step in my life would be to get a CDL job, of some sort, as I've always loved driving and have been fascinated with vehicles large and small.
I've researched alot though this site, and figured out the lifestyle may suit me, as I do enjoy being alone for long periods of time and am a very independent person. I've always wanted to see the country for what it is, and I feel as though truck driving would be the best possible way for me to do it. I'm currently single and have nothing really holding me here, and I really want to change my life up and start a possible new career.
Would any of the large companies even think about hiring me and training me, as I'm fairly certain none of those company "approved" schools are in Hawaii. I have a clean driving abstract and only one accident where a moped hit me while I was stopped. No DUIs ( don't even drink) and no criminal record.
I could pay for a truck school down here, but I wouldn't want to go through all that and having no chance of getting hired at one of these companies after I've shelled out the money and time to go though it.

Any help or advice would be great!
