I may be in a situation where I might have 2 medical certificates from 2 different doctors, and I don't know if that is good, bad, or indifferent.
Originally, I was pursuing employment with Roehl and their CDL program. I hit a brick wall with the medical certificate, because they wanted forms filled out by my doctor. One of these was about substance abuse for hydrocodone which is crap, because I just had a tooth surgically removed a few days before the exam. I wasn't even taking it by the time of the myloweslife exam. I had to wait 2 weeks to see my doctor, so he could go over the forms with me.. which he thought was stupid, because he does medical certifications for pilots.
So after the forms are filled out, I go back to the exam place and now they want medical records and a statement from the orthodontist that I'm no longer on hydrocodone. By this point, I was ****ed because I hoped to be in training by now, because I need work. I even had receipts to prove my tooth was pulled.
So, I went to an examiner that my brother in law goes to for his medical card, and I got my certificate through him. I didn't lie or say anything different, other than hydrocodone which is no longer a "thing" since it was over 2 weeks ago that I took it.
I figured I would just get my certificate on my own, get my permit, and then apply with Swift since they are closer and have a scholarship program for Veterans.
Should I even bother with the other examiner and Roehl now, or should I just follow through as a backup plan? I could wind up with 2 certificates or 1 pass and 1 fail. I'm not sure i really want to go to Roehl at this point.
