How would they know about rehab or a hospital visit?

They only know about ER visits that I go in and do not get admitted into there, idk why those are the only ones that pop up. Other times I’ve been admitted, shows no record.

If by "they" you mean the trucking company, they probably know more about you than you know about yourself. Myself included. That's why we have to sign a release for them to get confidential medical records. It's insane how little privacy there is.

The dot doctor was only able to see times I’ve visited the ER and did not get admitted into the hospital. No rehabs or hospital admissions or detoxing that I went to and completed show up

You kinda lost me, but if I follow you OD after the paper work says you competed rehab and this new doctor denied you a medical card?

I was also a little confused by this story. Too bad you have had drug problems but based on your account, you will have a difficult time convincing a trucking company to trust you. Maybe you could get a job as a drug rehab counselor.

Lol well the trucking company doesn’t get notified about past drug use. I guess if you go to hospital for anything drug related and NOT get admitted in, it shows when the dr pulls up the records. Because I knew I had other visits but those other ones I got admitted in

Yeah, I’m sorry , not the the way my mind thinks and the way I say things , I’m not very good at. But you’re correct. Even though they have been number of years, I’m just planning on attending drug classes that go few hours 3 times a week and I don’t need to do it inpatient rehab . Even though I’ve been clean for number of years now, showing this to the dot dr would only help my chanced

Yes dude!!! I had such a similar situation with a company and their stupid ass doctor/ I swear some of these dot dr need to ****ing get beat down. Never been slapped by their father.

So I got my class A from a driving school who brought in a doctor that gave us our Dot Physicals and you received your 2 year as long as all is well, which I did.

Past my test first try. One week later I’m in Green Bay Wisconsin. Of coarse they send me to their doctor for a drug test and physical. I fill out the application of physical while waiting then get called in. Immediately made to Empty my pockets bla bla and take a drug test which I passed no problems doctor come in after a few and says u checked off you never used drugs. I didn’t know almost 5 year ago ER entry for opioid detox would show up since especially they didn’t admit me. Kicked out few hours later. So he wouldn’t give me a dot card which at this point I guess the one I got from school don’t matter but it is legit. Lucky for me I went to rehab those days, so was able to get a hold of them and they faxed over my completion certificate but it said need to follow with after card anywhere or how, which I did go to NA/AA meetings for ever rather than outpatient Therapy groups because I get stuck with a bunch of people who are forced there and it would mess with my recovery. nA didn’t. Anyway he gave me a ONE year dot card and said next time you have to show me you have been doing follow up work like your 5 year ago rehab said . .. anyway I leave that company 7 months later. Go to new one. Same thing. But this this time I said yes on paper work that I used drugs in past and had same paper work to show him. Once again, there was ONE instant I had Overdosed on a one time relapse ( I know my fault, not here for life lesson I learned them all) and this was some time after the rehab papers but I never used again since that OD which was years too. My class A cdl expires 2024 . I need to renew my medical Card anywhere so I can have dmv reinstate my class A before expiration. Then to get a job and idk what to do knowing I will run into same problem maybe just renewing it for myself with no job behind it and if I can, it’s gonna pop up again at the new job I will want to start. Don’t ever do drugs kids.. so serious not just because this, it’ll ruin everything for you . But yeah. Any help would be appreciated. I’m sorry for long post. Drive safe everybody. Peace and love.
