Dismissed Citation in FL

Yeah since you have the proof that it was dismissed I don’t see why the fmcsa wouldn’t work with you. Worse comes to worse all violations do fall off of the psp report 3 years from the incident. But im also curious why this company is holding this against you guys if it’s the only thing in the record? Is “careless driving” same as reckless driving?

It’s not the same in FL. Reckless driving is considered criminal and careless driving is civil. I googled and googled and googled and it looked like we can’t remove it from his PSP 😞 but my husband will still call tomorrow. Hopefully, my searches are wrong.

Dismissed Citation in FL

Here in Illinois we have what’s called a court ordered mvr. Also called an abstract copy of an mvr. Anything that’s ever happened will be on there. In addition to the dac report. I’d just double check the mvr if I were you and see for yourself if it is in fact on there or not. Unless you’ve done that already. I forget the link for the psp report you can purchase that online and get it almost immediately if I remember right. I forgot that it’s the dac you get a free copy of not the psp report.

But back to the mvr it could be possible they are telling you they removed it and in fact they didn’t. That’s why I’d say double check the mvr. That got to be getting that info from somewhere to be reflecting on their end.

I just purchased the PSP report and it’s there. The only one on there. I am trying to send a RDR request through the FMCSA website but none of the option applies 😞 we will call them first thing in the morning to get this request in. Thank you so much again!

I don’t understand why it it wouldn’t show on your 7 year driving record but on your mvr. I’m confused as to what is the difference between the too. Here in Illinois we just have the mvr. I’d say first thing to do is get a copy of your mvr to see exactly what it is showing on there. If the dmv is saying it has been removed I don’t see how it could show on the mvr still. Maybe get a copy of your psp report too. You get a free copy of it a year.

Exactly our thoughts. We thought that once the DMV removed it and the 7 year driving record doesn’t show it, we should be good. But they’re telling us it’s still showing on his MVR. Does it take time for it to reflect on their end (pre-employment)? I just requested my husband’s DAC. But it says it will take 15 days so we shall see. We are confused about this.

Thank you for your response.

Dismissed Citation in FL

Hi!

I am trying to get a job at a company that tells me that my MVR shows this closed/dismissed “careless driving” in FL. I called the DMV and they told me that they removed the violation. I downloaded my 7 year driving record and the citation doesn’t show but the company says it still shows in my MVR. Do you know how can I get this removed?

P.S: I have a certified copy of the court of action that shows that the case was closed and dismissed due to officer FTA in 2019.
