Hello everyone! Need advice

I will do that step first. I searched the forums as well if these companies provided refreshers and you are correct. Thank you

Thank you so much! I am going to apply for company sponsored programs while I am doing refresher courses in the meantime.

Hello everyone! Need advice

Hello,

I have been a long time lurker here always reading and curious about the mental state of trucking. I have to say I have always loved the optimism here and the honesty. I decided to finally create an account and comment around here, but I do need some advice. I am 29 years old living in New Jersey and about 4 years ago I got my CDL paid out of my own pocket to pursue this career and look for work. Unfortunately due to lives circumstances I was unable to start this journey. Fast forward to now I am ready and hungry start to start this new chapter in my life. I was wondering if any of you were in a similar position to mine, that already has a CDL A but is rusty from 4 years of having no CDL experience what would you recommend my approach to get into this field? Should I take a refresher course and start applying? Or just apply directly to companies that are willing to hire me on the spot? Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance.
