Hello! First, I just want to say that this forum was *so* helpful when I wrote my first book about truck stops/truckers — a middle grade novel called DINNER AT THE BRAKE FAST that came out last year with Quill Tree Books / HarperCollins. Now I’m writing my first book for adults — a romance novel called LONG HAUL. It’s about a woman trucker who has this ten-year hatred of the man who trained her when she was getting her CDL. Now she’s about to make a cross country trip but the company she’s driving for needs the job done in a much shorter time. The only way she’ll be able to manage is with another driver to team up with — and who walks back into her life in that moment? Naturally, it’s the trucker she hates from training. They head out together the next morning, and between all the bad memories and the bickering, they fall in love.

I would LOVE to chat with any of you about this book — from details I may have missed about team driving in a one-bed situation, to how contracts work for team drivers / free agents.
