International inquiry for CDL Training

Hallo Everyone,

I am new to the forum and are from South Africa. Anybody out there from my part of the world. I would like to convert to a CDL in the USA. I have already spend hours and hours on the worldwide web. It doesn't matter witch page you open it seems that every state has its own sets of rules.

As an prospective immigrant any advice from the seasoned truckers out there?
