After attending the KLLM FFE training academy I can honestly say an experience I would NOT wish to repeat. I graduated 9 months ago and received a “$1000” sign on bonus which turned out, once I got to Lancaster TX to be $500. Upfront in the form of a Walmart gift certificate that you couldn’t get anything with unless you bought something from Walmart no extra cast all of had to be spent in the store, first red flag or should have been the other $500 turned out was paid at the end when you get assigned to a OTR trainer which when ask they would give us a line of BS and never got a clear answer until graduation, it was paid on comcard which they could have just said so. Anyway the first day…on the first hour your told that they could “Care less if you stay or go and they will send you home in a hartbeat and not think twice about it because there is always another student to fill the seat” Second red flag…or should have been, the training is quite standard your treatment is quite BELOW standard some of the instructors could not stand their job it was quite obvious by their eye rolling and rude obnoxious replies to questions and a COMPLETE lack of communication skills. Two Older 60 ish female instructors simply need to be put out to pastor. One of them takes all students to DMV for the driving test which consist of a high degree of verbal abuse, more like ripping to shreds told us to “forget everything you where taught and simply do what she tells us to do to pass the driving test she grabbed one guys hand and yanked it off the gear shift and held it up in the air and told him he would never pass the test because he’s a retarded dumbass, this was on the way up to test which he did pass with no problem and no help from that cow. You end up with $4000 dollar bill to pay if you leave before a year for attending a School that ONLY teaches you how to pass the DMV driving exam the rest like backing into a dock is SUPPOSED to be done on the road with your trainer who ends up only teaching you how to drive while he or her sleeps and you make them money, they get paid for the miles you drive and you get paid $500 small bucks. I left KLLM because it’s too hard to get paid the money your owed HAZMAT is $25 on load and $25 on delivery NOT worth the hassle of routing and DMV harassment that’s for sure. on their website it states 2016 trucks and it’s no way true especially if you lease your lucky to find a truck that has less than 200000 mils on it and you’ll pay 500 at least a week for it. Bottom line KLLM is simply dishonest and could give a crap less about its drivers if you go expect to be away for 3months without any home time my advice if you’re looking for a Company that trains …..Keep looking!!
