Farm Tags and Log Books

Hello fellow truckers... My name is Wade I work for a small company in upstate SC. We have two trucks that I drive. I haul everything from saw dust on a 45 ft walking floor to loads of lumber on a 45 ft flatbed. On these trucks my boss runs a farm tag on both trucks, now I have a class A CDL.. Sometimes he runs me about 200 miles one way to get lumber... My question is when I go that far do I need to run a log book ...
