Is it legal?

I was also told that he wants his drivers to work 12 hours a day...in training I was told we are allowed 14 hours of work but only 11 is for driving in a day. Is it the same for local, or are they allowed to work more than the 11?

So I found a local company willing to hire me. But the owner makes his employees work 7 days a week...would I be violating DOT 70/34hr rule?

THERE'S GOTTA BE SOME HOPE

Thank you so much! I did what you said about just pounding out as many apps and phone calls as possible and I have job interview Monday! It's for a local company but it's something to give me experience. Thank you!

THERE'S GOTTA BE SOME HOPE

So I'll keep it short and sweet. I graduated from Celadon's trucking academy here in Denver on September 3rd of this last year. September 6th I got into my very first accident EVER! The accident was in my own personal vehicle. My '05 Ford Focus against the other drivers Ford pickup truck... Damage to his bent bumper costed $900. There were 0 injuries. I disagreed with being charged as a reckless driver so I disputed it in court. The charges were dropped from reckless to defective vehicle. Unfortunately "accident" still shows up on my mvr. There has to be someone willing to hire a rookie driver with only one moving violation. I'm a 27 year old woman, never married, no children and tired of construction, tired of the city, and tired of feeling stagnant. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
