I Started driving legally in 1992 , when I was 21, been there done that, love the trucking industry and will be for life or until the DOT says I'm too crusty and old and cant get a medical renewal. If I can give any advice to new cats looking into this lifestyle, yes it's a lifestyle..... First and foremost never lease perchace from your employer it's the oldest scam that occurs in the truckingindustry and that's why mainly newer drivers especially students like at CR England, Swift, and Prime as examples usually get suckered into it,ALSO try to live as healthy as you can to include maybe a centrum vitamin and stay way from party row at the truck stop and the extra large fries and eating at the Petro buffet til you feel sick is not too bright, a subway and a bananna is a better choice and it's your CDL never allow a young punk dispatcher run you regardless in a way where you can jeopardize your CDL or aquire fines.
