I recently applied to prime inc. and my application was accepted and approved however, after about a week I thought that I would save my PDF application to my desktop just to have just in case. However, after reviewing my application I realized that it was incorrect. Under work history it asked me if I had ever been terminated from a job and I can clearly remember saying "yes" but on my application it said no. I immediately called my recruiter and told her that it was incorrect because I'm an honest applicant and I want any prospective company to know who I am as a person and as an employee. I have a clean driving and criminal record. I've never even received a speeding ticket. However, the reason why I was fired was I was driving a company para-transit van and hit a low hanging tree branch and dented the top of the van. At the time I didn't know that there was any damage. One month later I had a supervisor suspend and then fire me because he said I failed to report an accident. He made me right a statement and said that I did it. I admit that I did but it wasn't a malicious action. My background check conducted said that I wasn't fired. But after talking to my recruiter they are now going to contact my former company and get more details. Is it likely that prime is going to deny me acceptance to orientation. Did I shoot myself in the foot because I'm honest and there was a chance that they were probably not going to find out. Please help I'm so scared all I want to be is an honest trucker.
