Flatbed driver, physical standards.
Welcome James. Are you a new driver with a CDL or are you in school? Reason I am asking, it helps us respond with suggestions and advice.
We have several experienced hands on the forum who are successful flatbed drivers. I am sure they will chime in when they are available.
Hello G-Town, I just got my CDL last Friday. So, totally new to trucking. Reason Im asking about this, I read on this site where a driver commented he was sent home from orientation for failing a companys strength test. Im in decent shape, eat healthy, but not built like a linebacker.

Hello, new to this site. My name is Jim, new driver. I am very interested in driving for a flatbed company. Can anyone please give me any info regarding possible tests given, if any? Like, because of the tarps. do you need to be able to lift a certain amount? 50lbs, 80lbs? Thank you-orientation next week.
