I am a Philadelphia PA native. I am widowed with a adult son and two grandchildren. Driving was a dream for hubby and I before life got in the way and children and grandchildren arrived; so we kept talking about it through the years; but then he got sick. I lost him 2.5years ago...So I decided I will make this long dream become a reality.....I'll make his dream come true....alone...but still achieving a long awaited goal is rewarding!
I start school next week and look forward to spreading my wings and meeting many of you, on the road!!

I Start my CDL Training in 2 Weeks.....Philadelphia PA
Any advice from anyone out there for a middle aged woman starting class in 2 weeks? I am widowed and bored with my life. Something I always wanted to do with hubby was team before he passed; but we could not afford the pay difference years ago; then life got in the way..... Now I am alone and psyched to get started. Learning the Air Brake Test for the CDL Examine
Thank you Randall.
I am preparing to start CDL school next week (hopefully). I took my CDL permit test and passed all but "Air Brake" portion; by one question.... I too came across two "Air Leakage" test questions on my permit testing....it seems there are two "Air Leakage" tests; an Applied and Static testing. The CDL manual I have only clearly defines; Applied Leakage.....in the permit testing I was asked for both....lol. I have questioned seasoned drivers but I was unable to get a definite answer on Static....they all knew Applied.
So my dilemma and question is what is the difference between Applied Leakage Testing and Static Leakage Testing and How are they properly performed during a pre-trip inspection?
