I was talking to a driver for a local trucking company about openings and he told me that they are looking for rookie flatbed drivers and that they had to pass an agility test, what is it? Do you just need to be able to wrestle tarps and chains and be able to climb around the trailer?

Hello everyone. I'm getting back into trucking after a long absence. I drove straight trucks before CDL's and am just starting the process of getting my class A CDL. I picked a local school here in MD and am studying to get the learners permit. I downloaded the CDL manual from the MVA website and have been studying it and taking practice tests on another site and thought I had a pretty good handle on it. Then I came across this site and started taking the High Road Training Program, man what a bunch of good info. The training manual I got from the MVA doesn't cover half the topics I've learned with your training materials and I"ve only gotten through the first 5 pages. I also read through the entire 81 pages of the forum, I didn't read every posted topic but I read a lot of them. Made me think about a lot of things I haven't considered. Just wanted to say thanks for a great site.
