Traffic accident question

Afternoon, I’m about to start CDL school and wanted to make sure it is worth my time. I have a dwi from 12 years ago and an accident less than a year ago. I was driving through an area I wasn’t used to I was up at a stop light looking around trying to get my bearings. I thought the light changed, the driver on my right went through the light I started to go was halfway in to the intersection when I looked at my right and an eighteen wheeler gravel truck was coming straight at me, it had made a turn under the overpass so it wasn’t going very fast. I stopped and it pretty much ran over my bumper and grill. It was my fault I ran the stop light. No injuries and no damage to the truck. All the companies I find though won’t your record clear for 3 years. Mine is except for this incident ( the red light ticket got dismissed through defensive driving). Will I still be able to find an entry level CDL job when I leave school? Appreciate any info.
