Ok party people I have spent my day doing some research. I have called multiple companies and spoke w very nice informative recruiters. A few of them I could call bs on some things they said but nothing to say "I would never work for this company". 1) I posed as a non-cdl holder inquiring about co. sponsored or an soon to be in school. 2) I never once felt as if any company wasnt going to answer my questions without submitting an application. ~a couple of companies suggested I send one into get the process started. ~I spoke w what seemed like a liason for Swift. Once app submitted a recruiter would take it from there. 90% of my questions were answered. 3) Not every company was forthcoming w pay etc until they knew more about me. 4) I got a phone contact and/or email from every one I spoke to. Most did suggest "Please contact via email any questions". A few even said text. Millis, CRST, Swift, Continental Express, Trans Am, Knight, ODFL, Wel Companies, Western Express are some the co. I spoke to. I did not get a chance to talk to Prime. I badgered the poor guy from Western asking about their bad reviews etc. Hands down very professional. I could sense a lil bs but I would work for them in a heartbeat. Very cool dude! Trans Am stumbled a bit but very good conversation. They pushed lease a bit. Eh! Millis 100% straight up in my opinion. As was Swift. I also spoke w Epes, Mabe(Eden, Nc) and one more that do not train but will take new cdl holders from approved schools. Hello im looking into going to trucking school in either central or north Florida as the schools in south FL seem to be all over the place looking to get my CDL A. Looking for a school that maybe offers housing or lodging as paying a hotel is a good amount out of pocket expense thank you
