Suboxone and trucking

I feel pretty safe in giving advice about a substance used exclusively to tread withdrawal from opioid addiction.

This is inaccurate. Suboxone, Subutex, and the generic variants of Buprenorphine are often prescribed (on label) for pain and more rarely prescribed (off label) for depression.
