I would like to thank everyone who contributes to this website. It has helped me so much in understanding everything I need to know in making this decision to become a truck driver. I have been a General Manager for 11 years at a restaurant chain, having accomplished all the goals I set out for I have decided I need new goals and challenges. My grandpa was a truck driver for 25 years delivering cylinders all over NM Tx and Co. Growing up in a family with four sisters and a single mother he always told me hard work and dedication will help take a person where they need to go. After months of discussion with my wife and daughter I have their full support to work at this goal. I have talked to Knight and they told me to get a DOT medical exam, that I received last week. I was granted a one year certificate. And a CDL learners permit which I have no doubt I will be able to achieve once I finish High Road training. Once again thank you all for this website!!! I will keep you posted on how this journey progresses.
