Hi. Thank you for having me. I'm almost 54 years old. My wife & I are looking to leave the cesspool we live in - a.k.a. NYC - for good in June (2024). I'm looking to do something in agriculture, more specifically the broiler industry if possible, as a second career. (My "first" career(s) will be completely irrelevant and thus not even worth mentioning). We're considering Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia. I'm a native NY'er so considering driving to get a foot in the door to the industry and experience different aspects of it while making contacts. Leaning toward getting the CDL-A before I leave NYC.
Did you know you can fill out one quick form here on TruckingTruth and apply to several companies at once for paid CDL training? Seriously! The application only takes one minute. You will speak with recruiters today. There is no obligation whatsoever. Learn more and apply here:

If anyone comes here in the future with a similar problem, and any money and/or agreements were made online (as the OP made the $1,000 down payment), be advised that you can file a complaint with the FCC and FTC. In my experience, companies respond more swiftly to that than they do to BBB complaints.
