Preventable Accident:

I was just checking my emails through my driver portal. I see one in there from my otr training. We had a tire blow out on the hwy from no fault of mine. Just driving..Well the tech mechanic called Swift about a bent rim. I didnt see a bent rim jjst an old looking one. So I assume Swift thinks I hit something. Hence the fact they wanted me to take photographs.. This feels unfair.. It was just a blowout probably due to road conditions, tire condition and weather changes..

Is it true:

With Swift, that the first few weeks are developmental? Easier runs that make it slightly smoother for the rookie.. As usual, thank you.

Swift Team Driving. Looking For Partner.

I live in San Antonio and I work for Swift. What is the best way to find a partner for teaming? I talked with Swift already and they won't touch teams because of the liability, which I completed understand. Any ideas? Thanks again, board. Always a pleasure posting here.

Swift. Starting first week solo. Wondering if there is some sort of checklist or SOP.

Hello. I finished my otr training with my mentor. I drove 23,567 miles in five weeks. I'm getting ready to go out solo this week and I'm scrambling to remember everything. Any Swift drivers have a checklist of things to do daily or some sort of list they follow? Thank you.

Hey guys. Thank you so much for the reply's and good advice. I had a great weekend and I had a feeling a mentor would call today and one did. He sounds professional and has a lot of experience as a trainer. I'm ready to listen and learn for however long it takes. Thanks again. Have a good one. Talk soon.

Just finished Orientation with Swift and I am waiting for a trainer..

Hi Everyone! I've been reading this site for awhile and I think it's loaded with positive information for new guys like myself. Last Thursday, I completed the orientation process and I'm waiting on a trainer\mentor. I was informed that there weren't any mentors near the terminal, so all 8 of us were sent home or back to the hotel. Since center I live in San Antonio the drive from Laredo was quick. My question is, are there any good trainers around San Antonio that need a student? I don't care where home base is because I just want to get an excellent education. I want to learn from someone really good. Weird question, I know.. Anyway, have a good day.
