Truckers Tablet Computer with GPS

Also, according to the info on the GPS Tablet, you have to pay a monthly fee to use it. I pay enough monthly fee for my phone.

The Truckers Tablet GPS does not have a monthly fee to use. Dont know where you saw this but nope no fee at all.

Truckers Tablet Computer with GPS

Just be careful with having a tablet on or near your dash. Depending on the officer and their attitude that day they can get you on having it up front with you and since it can be used for other things than just a GPS you might have a hard time proving that is all you use it for while driving.

Its great to have multiple devices built into one thing but its hard to be an item that does one thing really well.....like a straightforward GPS.

Most GPS apps are meant for cars or small vehicles. Have not found one that is just for trucks. If you are planning on spending $265 for this table then you might as well just buy a trucker GPS and know you will have a better device.

Well I own the Truckers Tablet Gps - TT2(version 2).

Recently i was pulled over for having this Tablet on my dash. The officer was going to write me a ticket for distracted driving but after a 3 minute discussion and show and tell with the tablet he would not write a ticket.

WHY you might ask? - With computers and Tablets they all can show recent activities - What programs are up and running, what time you were on these programs and so on. When i showed the officer that in fact this is a TRUCK GPS and the multi functions of this Tablet in this field not only was he impressed but he was going to recommend it to other trucking buddies he knows.

Another thing i was also doing at the same time along with the GPS was using it as a Dashcam. Oh yes, you can also use it as a dashcam while the GPS is up and running. HD video. I set my system up for recordings of 5 minute intervals and it records 30 videos and keeps on eliminating the old videos so it can keep recording. Now where is the Dashcam on the Rand Mcnally? oh wait it cant do that.

When not being used as a gps or dashcam i can use it as my Transflo machine for my paperwork. Can Other GPS units do that? Nope

How about Faxing paper work? Can Rand or other GPS unit fax paperwork to someone? Mine can.

How about Email? Yes i can

How about getting online? Yes i can

There is so much more this Tablet GPS can do then the RM and others and this loads up so much faster then the RM. I will put my GPS up against any others any day. Before you ask yes i have owned 2 Rand Mcnally(510 + 710) and tried the Cobra for a week (8000). in 2 years both RM's went to crap.

1GB ddr3 Sram

1.2ghz dual core processor

Front and rear cams

Truck specific GPS - most times it is connect to at least 8 and upto 14 GPS satellites
