Glad Hand Seals - Big End or Little End In First?

You guys are making this more difficult than it is. If you large the put inside diameter twice then flutter the round you're good. Geez.

rofl-3.gif I was going to try that next !

What Is YOUR Favorite Truck!?

Kenworth T680, its got TONS of room in the sleeper and ides smooth as can be down the road.

While I doubt this is a fleet version, pretty awesome 13 speed sleeper... T680

What engines are they using?

I am happy with the Cummins ISX 450 ST in my ProStar .... Although I have nothing to compare it to... It gets me up hills with 80k lbs...

Interesting. I'm really confused now. I just watched the video, and it looks like he's installing the grommets with the smaller end into the housing, leaving the larger end on the outside. I thought you described the video just the opposite. Anyhow, I've seen it done both ways, but have always been told, by numerous folks (and watching numerous mechanics), to install with the smaller side facing out - opposite of this video.

no no.... he is installing the larger diameter portion into the housing with the smaller, thicker portion outside to make the contact.

....are you drinking again.. lol

It didnt' appear that way to me at all. Looked like he installed with larger end facing out.

did you watch the whole video? he starts that way to show how some people do it, then he installs the larger portion inside the housing....

I have simply fallen in love with the Peterbilt 389 model. It is simply a classic , timeless design. I don't know anything about the current engine line in these trucks or the old, for that matter , but man , they sure are sexy.

What is you favorite truck and why?

Rookies wanna learn !! lol

Manufacturer recommends big side inside. Just a thought... Maybe this should be a pretrip check of manufacturer recommendation...

To clarify big side = larger diameter

Now that should be the rule!! "Big side - Inside" I love that.... Remembered forever
