Joe V.'s Bio

I'm still currently in high school and once I turn 22-23 I would like to start my Cdl training. I'm not wanting to start a career for the money, I just love the idea of being able to drive a big rig across the country as my way to earn a living. Every time I'm asked about my career choice, people criticize my decision. But it's something I would like to do. I know that it's not driving across the country and making easy money. And I like the idea of the challenges that await me. And with challenges come reward.

Joe, I am currently training with Roehl and would be happy to answer any questions you might have. I went to their school also. While in phase 1 we went to a neat little truck stop in Kaukauna so you are very close to the Appleton terminal. Let me know if I can help!

Thank you so much

Thanks Joliet. One question, Roehl hires and trains correct, what do you need to get hired? Thank you

Not a problem I've been called worse! smile.gif Work Roehl you need a clean driving record for the last 5 years, work history for 3 years, and no problems with the law. My recruiter for Roehl's school was Dylan Schmoldt and his number is 715 591-7050 ex 3276 or Dylan.Schmoldt@roehl.net. He is a great guy and easily assessible. Everything he told me was true but if you talk to him or any other recruiter and want to verify what you are told just let me know and I will give you the skinny!

Roehl Transport

Hey, Joe - there are a few people on here who just started up with Roehl. They should be able to fill you in on some things. I know that they do not allow pets (dog) along, that is why I ruled them out. Roehl contracts with FVTC in Appleton for part of their schooling. I just graduated from FVTC's 10 week program, if you are considering going that route, I can absolutely recommend them as a fabulous place to go to school! BTW, Appleton is my hometown . . . West Terrors.

Thank you both. I've heard lots of good things about Roehl, and I'm thinking about going the same way you did Deb. I'm a Kaukauna boy myself. So it's a good close place to go.
