I hope so. Honestly the general public is my main stress load it seems. "Kid stay there" " car get off your phone" " flashers are there for a reason "

Its been along time since i signed in. I felt like i had worn out my welcome with hopes that were never happening. Well since my last login i went from being a diesel technician to getting my cdl and driving for a few months than life happened again and now im spotting trailers and doing shuttle driving. I have learned alot and still have a ton to learn but one thing i found that im not sure if can be taught is dealing with the stress of driving. Well thats just my hello again im intrested to see what all has went on since i was here last.

Finally did it. No longer just a spectator
Ok i should re phrase that. they seem great idk yet they talked a pretty good gig so we will see. And as far as the training i know i will be with one for a few months im not sure if they are able to give me a certificate. However with my current family situation i will be willing to take a local job and have to take a 160 certificate course if i go over the road later on.

Ok thanks for the reply! And I know it's just my opinion but I don't think it's right for them to ask and they put the little star beside it so you have to answer it. But I will stick something in there hopefully it won't be to outta wack!

Here is my question. What is the best way to fill out an application? Things like °why did you leave °date to and from ( I honestly dont remember most of them) ° starting and ending salary ( I don't want this to affect my chances of being hired) °last three companies ( do I include 2nd jobs or short term employment in other fields? ) I'm just trying to figure out the most professional and non judgemental way of filling these out any input would be much appreciated thanks!

Refusing a load ... a little guidance please
Are you asking from an owner operator stand point or company driver stand point?

It's probably not a secret but a great little truck stop
Ya know you could be on to something here. I think its would be awesome to have a thread of different places we all have been that have had good food it would be alot more efficient than trying to keep up with all the food shows on the travel channel! CITY BBQ in Louisville Kentucky!

A truck should have no problem starting after 4 days if it has good batteries and not an excessive drain. Don't expect a fridge to run though I would unplug that. If it does have problems I would look at getting the truck to a shop to find out why. On that same note I had seen an o/o put a solar panel on his truck to keep his batteries charged while not running.
(None of the above applies in cold weather)

As I'm sitting here eating lunch my boss comes in and asks how long until I have a task done. Than lets me know more tasks to do, and to explain some parts of the task at hand. Well I dont mind talking about work at lunch I know he has a business to run and me being hungary shouldn't stop that but it got me to wondering how often do drivers deal with ( I'm guessing dispatch) trying to figure out how long it will take to get something done or why your stopped etc.?

Surprisingly the new ones are pretty lite. I really don't know how much but we have to lift them from their pivet point which is normally flat.and have had to take a couple off for maintenance. Here is a question I'm afraid to ask because its so general I should know it. When youre in construction and they have a lane blocked off than they have the cones moved to the side where both lanes are open is the speed limit still 55 until you reach the end construction sign?

Prime Inc. and my supply list.
Well I always used vacuums at a car wash or if I stayed at a hotel I put things I wouldn't be using every day in them. The ones you use by hand dont go down as far but I used them for the more day to day things. I always kept a zip up hoodie and a couple pairs of clothes on top so I wasn't having to mess with it everyday. Made it nice when since I never knew what climate I would be in.
I'm.not sure about the company individually but I had done extensively travel before for a living. I found space bags are nice to help squeeze more in than what you need. I used to use two types the kind with the need of a vacuum for heavy clothes and the type you use by hand for lighter clothes.just my 2¢
Yo, Matt, thanks for dropping by!
I completely forgot about those things, which one did you use to prefer? Did you find the one that needed the vacuum, the vacuum itself, to take up to much room? I could see putting clothing away in such things to save a LOT on space.
