Not even good enough to be the gum on your boots

Ugh.. 3rd week of Road master and it feels like my 1st one. I have not driven in traffic yet because the Double-clutch has me triple thumbed. The maneuvers are slowly starting to come together but the offset lane changed has me flummoxed. I'm feeling like an idiot because I feel like this stuff is not coming together. The instructor has been a good guy trying to help me along. Testing is Friday and I'm thinking the pre-trip might be the only thing I might pass. Damn, does this stuff have to be this hard? I'm no idiot, but arghhhhhh. I'm having a hard time putting two and two together. If anyone has any advice, pour it out there,I can use it. I have trolled this site for a month or so,you folks have been a bastion of great advice and helpful suggestions. I feel like the downshift relative to being in traffic has me most concerned, the moves are still not natural and I do not want to mess up in traffic and cause a wreck or something. I want to learn this stuff and I spend hours a day with pre-trip and maneuvers,it's just not sinking in. /rant off. Thanks for reading and any advice.
