What the best place to start

Anytime a recruiter rolled through school, the one thing they all said was, "go with the company that fits you."

My advice, come up with your criteria for a company and write them down. Home time, pay, apu, idle policy, age of equipment, etc.

Figure out what YOU require and choose from those companies that best fit you.

Schneider Orientation

Good luck! I Was there in January. Eugene was my trainer. He & Marcus were good to us.

Bring your good attitude and you'll do well.

Any tips for training besides good attitude?

Also noticed you went to TDI Milton as well, I just finished on the 3rd of April.

Stevens transport

Iirc, when the recruiters came through school, bribing us with free pizza, they mentioned they pay 28 CPM, training lasts as long as it takes you to go through all the regions; mountains, northeast, west and city?, you can take truck gone but has to be a secure location and approved by safety.

How that helps.

Schneider Orientation

Monday morning I will be boarding the bus heading to ATL for Schneider orientation and training.

The next couple of days are going to fly by and that bus ride is going to suck but in the end it will be worth it.

Which One - Conway or Schneider?

As ever recruiter that has stopped at school the past two weeks thus far have said, choose the company that best fits your needs.

Personally, I chose Schneider at this time as they seem the best fit to me. Plus having a couple instructors that were with them for 13 years and 25 years, must show then being a somewhat decent company.

High Road Training Question

I used the high road before going for my permit for school and only missed 4 on general and zero on combination and air brakes.

If your state lets you skip questions, do so, no need to guess and guess wrong which causes you to fail.

Offset backing and alley

We start testing next week so there's plenty of time left for it to click and that light bulb goes off.

Offset backing and alley

Started offset yesterday morning, thought I did OK; today not once was I able to get.

Started alley docking today, for the life of me cannot get that going right either. This afternoon should be going out on the road again.

First week cdl school done

Tuition is 4999 if paying cash; assistance is available but a Co-signer will be needed to secure the loan and that cost is 5999.
