My name is Kody I have been driving for Hogan for the last 8 months. I have been looking on getting on with prime’s lease operator program for some time now and have been doing my research. I am looking for any and all recommendations about the program the in and outs and how they work. I have ran a business before so I have a business mindset and am trying to provide for my family the best I can and as a company driver have not been doing to go lately.
Thank you all
Kody
Prime is a great company. I did the lease thing for about 6 months before my father had a heart attack. Was home with him for 3 weeks, that payment never stopped and put me 3500 in the hole. I wish I would have never signed up for the lease program and stayed a company driver.

What do you all recommend Dry Van or Flatbed and why
It really is what you prefer. I have pulled reefer, flatbed, and van. Loved the flatbed side as keeps you fit and you can get a good workout. I pull a van now and do miss the flatbed days but don’t miss the rain and cold. Granted I did have all the protective gear.

I mounted mine on a bean bag mount that is pretty heavy and worked wonders.

GOING BACK TO PRIME INC A REHIRE?
Has anyone gone back to Prime as a REHIRE? I drove last year March 2017 to August 2017 but left before my 1 year. My grandfather was in the hospital when I was on the road and I went home for a week but he passed away 2 days before my week was up Prime gave me another extension of a week but I'm Native American and participated in my tribes tradition for a passing family member I had to leave the night before his funeral it was either restart my TNT phase or get fired I had 500 miles left on my TNT phase and made the chose to leave and drive but only made it a week and quit. I know its a long story but I'm starting to miss the road and think about going back but worried me leaving would be used againts me further on. I have no negative comments about Prime and I understand it's part of the trucking universe you can't stay home forever but just reaching out for helpful advice. Thanks
I did the same dates as you and had to leave due to a family emergency. After 6 months gone I got he itch and came back of April of this year. I applied and talked to a recruiter and they put your app in front of a hiring board to say yes or no. As long as you left favorably you should be okay. I switched from reefer to flatbed and only had to do 15000 miles for training. Now I am having the time of my life. What is there to lose apply!

I just don’t know how everyone that drives the northeastern routes does it. I went into Long Island today and then Connecticut. Wasted all 11 hours along with higher blood pressure. Traffic was horrible

Well I’ll sit here thinking, does any with FMCSCA Rule about the GPS is being in the window. One time I heard that it could not be attached To the window because it was in the line of sight. Does anyone know if this is true
