Soulrider's Bio

Not a whole lot to say about myself now as a truck driver apart from what follows. Gotten tired of the treatment I received from working for Burger King over the nearly 9 years there and decided to dig up info on driving schools such as Roadmaster, which I ended up choosing. Took the weekend classes so I can keep the then current job with BK until I'd gotten hired on with Werner.

The first two or three weeks were unmistakably the worst in the student training. Was only with the first trainer for at least 13 hours before he dumped me over how rusty my shifting gotten over the couple weeks since Roadmaster. Although, he had a lot of faith in me to encourage my continuation. Another I felt unable to click with. Third one had a nearly incoherent accent which made me feel unable to get along. Then, finally, this fourth one ended up being the best of the four.

Yet, closing for now, I'm still basically a noob driver that needs some help backing. Also, doubtfully so, I'll find a company that'll take me with a jackknife less than a year old.

Gambling for a new job(Recently fired)

I would let them know it's a jackknife. I jackknifed a truck and totaled it and kept my job with them. I got a warning for too fast for conditions, though, no citations. Better to let them know up front. I mean, it does sound like you told the truth, just not in the simplest of terms.

Back in November, a similar jackknife happened to me. Long story short, only the co-driver and myself were the only victims that were able to exit the cab on our own freewill. I was suspended for a month just long enough for Werner to receive the report and fire me. I doubt they took into consideration that the load itself was virtually intact. When I made that phone call just to hear that, I was just at a loss for words. Here it is, 5 months later and still unemployed. I tried different companies and still got turned down and they don't wanna touch me because of this.
