Ty1on2's Bio

Hello to all, I'm making a career change. I'm a welder by trade. I have just finished CDL school. To tell you the truth I have had a real hard time making my mind up where to go. When I was in school I had a classmate that told me he has a brother that worked at Prime, he was telling me he had enjoyed the time he was there, I think he said a year or little more. Now he has bought himself a new and doing his own thing with Land Star. Between talking to him for 4 weeks and all the blogs I have read, Prime was for me. So I am going to start my Prime training in PA. on 6-1-2015 I will be in touch with up dates.

1st Year Anniversary at Prime... Accident Free

Thanks for the answer! I'm checking Prime out the most right now. I definitely have no interest in going lease. Food grade tanker sounded fun too so, definitely another reason I'm considering them.

Stay safe and rubber side down out there!

Hello and congrads. on the 1 year driving. Hope I do that well. I start at Prime on 6/1/2015 for orientation. I will be going with a tanker rig. I have heard that Prime is a excellent co. to work for. And you are right about the pay. I wish I had known about the CDL school they offer, its like $150.00 for everything with a year commitment. That's hell of a deal, I had to pay out of pocket $4000.00 for my school, still need there driving training. Well good luck and hope to see you on the road.

Getting seriously frustrated

Not calling back, then when she did..thinking I was in school last week. It's okay for now..finally scheduled June 1st.

Hey ty1on2 here. I had the same problem with Averitt Trucking. The recruiter is joke. He said he would call me back on Tuesday , this was Thursday. said the his boss was on vacation, lol. So Tuesday comes around No Call. I called him, no answer. The next day I tried him again, no answer. So I called my school and they called him from there number and he answered the phone. He told them he would call me on Wed., LOL no call. So I know what you mean when comes to recruiters. I guess I will see you on June 1st if you go to PA for training.
