That would depend on what she likes.

Went through school, passed my test, started training yesterday. First day on the job was a shuttle run, drop and hooks. She drove up there the first time, then I did everything else after, with some guidance with backing (with the trailer). Got a day off. Tomorrow we go to the Bronx. I am a little nervous, but excited too. So glad I got a day off, my muscles are sore from all the cluthing (I am learning to float, it is just hard learning in a new truck and not being allowed during training). Also going up and down the tractor and the cat walk. Love that landing gear too, not!

Hey y'all! Out of school. Passed my test. I had my first day of training running a shuttle. It put a hurting on me, but I learned a lot. I got a great lady trainer who is a hard ass, but I respect that. Tomorrow we head towards the Bronx. I know the north east is hard, but I am looking forward to being the best I can be. Keep on trucking girls!

Being female has absolutely nothing to do with it! Us girls can do anything the boys can do, usually better!
I plan on it. Look for me. I am the little woman in the big truck.

I would also like to say that being a female doesn't necessarily make it different and definitely not harder. I just know that sometimes being told things in a different way makes it easier. It took time and effort and practice. My husband told me many helpful hints but until I actually found my way to do it I was lost. Now I am found until I have to do it in an another environment. Hah haha ha.

Most of my problem was my set up. Luckily I screwed up enough to learn to fix my mistakes, which I did quite well with my 90.

Lynn has a problem:
After that is my problem. When to understand my vehicle to react in order to bend.If you are wondering how long it takes from the time you turn the wheel until you can see the trailer start to bend, well, that is what all this practice is all about.
The trailer moves back about ten feet from the twist of the steering wheel till the tandems start to go in the new direction.
Look out the window at the tandems. Visualize farther back by ten feet. If you turn the steering wheel more towards the inside of the bend, backing ten feet will make more/tighter bend. Turn the wheel away from the bend, in ten feet backing the trailer will straighten out.
Thank you. I passed my test and did best on my offset. I finally found that the offset is more finesse then obsolete like the 90 or alley, which still needs some finesse too, but not as much.

Female and pet friendly trucking companies?
TLD is a good company. They are based in Knoxville, but the Crossville Terminal is better. I have a good female trainer. I went through the company sponsored school (very good). I know they allow pets and have never heard about a deposit (I am sure my trainer would have mentioned it).
