Title search on a CMV? Any help ?

I have recently purchased a truck for parts but was told I could get a title for it. I have not had any luck looking anything up that gives me details on a title status or anything. Does anyone have a way to do this? Or any info on how to go about it ? I have spent $80 so far on VIN look ups only to find that it's not been salvaged or in a wreck. Thanks in advance guys!

Been awhile since I was on here so I figured I'd stop and let everyone know how things were going so far. I'll be honest , the money isn't what I thought it would be. 800 one week 450 the next. Average miles around 1400 to 1900. Not as many minimum pay loads as I was told in orientation. Starting out I never waited for a load. Now I wait quite a bit at places. Still not too bad. NO detention pay until after 24 hours and then it's 16 an hour. Very hard to get a anything pre-planned so you dont know how to run your time to your benifit. Please keep in mind I'm NOT complaining! I'm glad to be employed and at least paying my bills. But these are things I've encountered that COULD be better. I've been through 3 trucks ( None would idle longer than 45 minutes ) 3 dispatchers ( 2 had never been a dispatcher before and never been in the trucking industry ) and still can't seem to get anyone to answer a question without being transferred to 2 other people and eventually getting a call back. With all that being said ......... The insurance is around 50 a week for my daughter and me. That does include dental. Not bad at all. They do not hound you with calls and messages as long as you do your part in getting loads to and from on time. Even though they don't have the answers when called , they are still very polite. Weekends well.... some good some bad. Really depends on where you next load picks up or delivers. You could be home Friday by lunch and leave Monday. Or you could get home Friday at 11 pm and have to leave Sunday at 6am or sooner. That's where the no pre-plan stuff starts to get very frustrating when making plans for the weekend. All in all I can see where you can make money here if everyone was on the same page. But as it stands it's VERY inconsistent pay to say the least. I would definitely suggest coming here if you are good at letting stuff roll off your back or you need to get experience. They are big on safety and other companies admire their safety policy. Remember this is just my account for my time here so far. I can deal with everything I've posted ( I'm still here ) and keep trucking. Just wanted to put some things out there for people who may not have an " understanding " attitude when looking for a company. Yall have a great day!

McElroy Truck Lines

Hey there everybody. Just wanted to add my 2cents about McElroy if I can. I am in Emporia VA now and just finished my first day of Orientation. So far all I can say is its very laud back and easy going. Brent is a great guy and who you will meet first in this location. Rooms at the best Western are really nice compared to alot I've been in and very clean for the most part. Microwave and Fridge. TV with cable. Continental breakfast in the morning. There is a fair amount of paper work to begin with and even some homework lol. Class is very small. Only 2 here today and that's including myself LOL. But I'm not complaining because I'm sure we will get lots of hands on and one on one training. If I can be any assistance to anyone looking at McElroy I'll try and answer questions also. Yall have a good night ! Got to be there at 7 in the morning.

Hey there everyone. New to the group here and just wanted to try and confirm a few things before my orientation with McElroy. I was told .42 cpm beginning pay. 450 a week during training. Payed health care . And home every weekend. Can someone confirm that that is true ? I've dealt with a few recruiters and have found them to be not so reliable when I check on facts LOL. McElroy seems to have an answer for every question and doesn't mind talking as long as you'd like. Made me feel better about choosing them. I just feel more comfortable finding out from real employees with them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
