So your 're saying I shouldn't give up my day job just yet 😃... Like I said, I like your honest answers Errol. I was thinking two 90's. At first...The first would be to get the tractor facing Ferguson Dr and then I guess could you do a 45 into the dock? I will leave it at that, probably creating too much work like you said, but it is fun trying to figure these things out... And I probably am not explaining myself right, just learning a lot of the terminology.

Hi Errol, I am just a want-to-be trucker. Right now I am just an IT guy but looking to hopefully get into my second career like so many of you guys on TT. I really enjoy reading all your topics and also how guys like you and Old School are so honest and helpful to all us guys looking to get into trucking and all the rookie drivers out there... Anyway, I will take a crack at this one. How about if took a left into the Sears parking lot so the trailer twas facing the credit union and you were setting yourself up for a 90 so you could have your truck set up to do another 90 into the dock? I don't know if I explained that right... but I can see it in my head.. Anyway, its fun to try and figure these things out. I have surprised myself on a few of them. Thanks Errol and the rest of you guys... keep safe.

US Xpress Dedicated in Grand Forks, ND

Hello, I am new to the forum and was really just looking for some information. Just a little background on myself, I am 45 years old, and currently working in the IT field. I have been employed with the same company for over 13 years. I have been interested in a career as a truck driver for sometime, but presently I have kids at home and a decent job. I was thinking about changing careers a bit later, once the kids are no longer at home and I can get into a 2nd career that I can hopefully enjoy and do into my retirement years. I have been on this forum for sometime and have read about obtaining my CDL via school or company training. There are a few options where I live and would pursue one of those once the time is right. My question has to do with opportunities close to where I live. I live about 10 miles from the Canadian border up in Northern MN. Grand Forks is the closest larger type city. It is about 80 miles from my house. I was wondering if there are any drivers that drive for US Xpress in this neck of the woods? From what I have read, US Xpress would be a pretty good company to get started with and I have seen ads on Craigslist for US Xpress hiring in Grand Forks. Can anyone let me know what their dedicated accounts out of Grand Forks are? Are there any other options other than dedicated... is there Regional etc? What kind of hometime can you expect? Any information would be appreciated.
