When you are a parent, you go through the embarrassment and the negative bashing, to obtain the means for you loves ones. On a different note, you probably right about needed to educate myself about the (OTR) trucking industry. But in my favor, I am new at this, and I did pass the written exam with no problem at all. In life we shouldn't be prideful, and never be afraid to ask for help. That makes a successful person in real life!

"Straight box truck with air-brakes," unless I'm missing something. You haven't provided much info. Others have put in much thought-considered time in their collective responses.

You don't need a sponsor, you need to make a decision. Educate yourself. Use this site's resources. Figure out what you want: OTR, local, class A, class B. Honestly, you're coming across as begging. Do the work.

Ok. I (we) will try to help you. First of all I can't help you with a loaner truck. Second, unless you have a job lined up after taking your test, you will not be generating any income.

Without knowing your entire situation, it's difficult to offer solid advice. My opinion? If you can, step back and quickly evaluate Paid CDL Training Programs, submit applications to your top three within your list, and follow-up via phone calls. Assuming you are qualified this process is rather quick. I believe this is the fastest and most efficient path for you to gain entry into trucking and earning a paycheck.

Angel what is your end goal here? Class A or B?

Your point about condidering trucking, did you mean over the road or something else?
