Getting into trucking with bad mvr?

As far as those conditional job offers they are on FD/DG routes which are some of the most difficult routes I've heard.

Getting into trucking with bad mvr?

double-quotes-start.png

I just got two conditional job offers today. The condition being getting that one accident removed. I was told that I would be hired if that happened. The trouble is getting Smokey to file the documents from court with the dmv. How do I persuade this officer to let it go? This is what's holding me back now. I like the idea about FedEx etc. If he won't let it go I will have to try that option just to give me some kind of work.

What State/Court and what law enforcement agency is involved?

In my previous life/profession, I was very much involved with both Courts and law enforcement agencies, in 13 States, for over 20 years. It's much more typical for the Court to update DMV, Secretary of State, et al... than it is for law enforcement to do so. That is, law enforcement agencies don't typically "report the Court's findings"... Courts report their findings to the appropriate agencies involved in the matter.

It's lex county court and lex county officers. I went through the run around at the dmv when i brought my disposition in. They sent me to the court to see if my paperwork had been sent in. At the courthouse I was told that they have all the paperwork along with the original accident report and ticket back to the officer to file with the dmv. After spending a month calling the officer and getting ignored I am done with this. I don't know how they normally operate, I only know what I was told when I requested information. They could just be giving me the run around. I am going to my local representative and setting an appointment with the judge who sat on my trial to figure out what the deal is. This is going to continue to drag on.

Getting into trucking with bad mvr?

I was in two accidents last year and I got two tickets last year. Both of these were on my motorcycle. One accident I we at fault for. The second accident I was written a ticket for & reported at fault but a judge overturned it and ruled i was not at fault. Apparently in my state it's up to the officer to file the paperwork so it's still on my record. I found this out because I cannot get a job driving a Tonka truck. Companies literally refer to this one accident as the reason they won't hire me. I broke my foot, hand and wrist in the accident and I can't go back into construction. I can drive and operate equipment but no one will even talk with me long enough to hear the story. I have the ruling from the case on a certified form/disposition but nobody cares cuz it's still on my mvr. What do I do? Are there any companies that will talk with me? I am at my wits end. I have a family to take care of and I feel like our lives are being held hostage by Smokey because I showed him up in court. I am in cdl training now and pretty damn good at it and I have lull, forklift, backhoe, aerial lift, skid loader certifications & experience. These two accidents are the only accidents I had in my entire life.
