Maverick hair follicle test

Sorry about your experience.

Most folks would advise daily blazers to go for 6 months before doing a hair screen.

Out of curiosity - were you contacted by the test facility about the results and given the opportunity to explain the results - or just shown the door?

Keep in mind also - if this positive test gets reported - you will not be able to get hired on at another company, without completing a "return To Duty" SAP protocol.

Rick

it is a law that the MRO (medical review officer) talks to you first before they give the results to the company if the results are positive. that goes for urinalysis and hair test btw.

but they (some office lady) took me to an office and made me contact the MRO and had me report back to them. i came back and reluctantly told them the results were positive. they paid me for my time there at orientation (which softened the blow a little bit) and sent me on a bus back home.

also yes Chris, fortunately the hair follicle test is a non DOT drug screening and is solely for the company. they cannot release the results to the DOT or any other company.

Maverick hair follicle test

hi. new member of the forum here, been gathering lots of useful information here so i thought maybe i could contribute.

i attended maverick's orientation last week knowing they did a hair follicle screening which i had heard from several people only goes back three months. well it turns out those people were wrong. i admit i was a habitual marijuana user in my past, but i have been clean for about four months now. so i wasn't worried about my results showing positive. turns out i was positive. now i assume the results are quantitative since i gave them my leg hair. i don't shave my legs... so all my history showed up. unfortunately i was disqualified over a stupid little plant i used to smoke over four months ago. but that's life i guess. you reap what you sow. i'm pretty sure where i screwed up was giving them my leg hair. they gave me an option of head, chest, or leg hair. i just wasn't thinking. i feel like if i had given my head hair, i would have been cleared. oh well. on to the next company.

just a heads up for any of you new guys with a drug history thinking of applying to a company with hair tests.
