Hello everyone! I'm Ronny, I've been lurking here for a while now. I'm just beginning my adventure into the world of trucking. I'm really excited as I have a father in this industry and as a child have rode along with him in his truck (very much enjoyed it) and am wanting to take on this career to save some money and move out on my own. I'm in the process of going to the Swift Academy in Tennessee soon after I get my permit. I actually took the permit A test yesterday, passed my air brakes and combinations, but failed the general knowledge. Mostly nerves since I honestly thought that the air brakes/combination would be the death of me. Those questions ended up being much of the same as the questions on my practice exams.
I'm going back in tomorrow morning to retake the general knowledge ( I can retake the test 2 times a day until I pass). Been studying a good bit here and there and the CDL training Brett has on here is really helpful! I noticed that some of the questions on the general knowledge test can be very left field if you're not prepared, so I'm definitely taking a broader approach to my studying technique.
It's always a pleasure reading all of your insightful posts, advice, and wisdom.
