Passed CDL, hubby did NOT. Now what?

Once I warmed to his team OTR idea, we signed on to a company sponsored CDL school. Scool is mainly fresh-off the farm tractor / machinery students; so they pick up skills fast. We gad never been in a semi. I caught the learning curve and kept up. He struggled and they didn't really help him as much as he needed. So now schools done...I got my CDL and he didn't pass DOT nanuevers. Now what???
