Prime’d and ready to go

So first load went down into Fl. Second load went from Pierson, Fl to Spokane Valley, Wa with a total of 4 stops we manually unloaded and trailer is continuing its journey into Canada on someone else’s back (floral load). Wasn’t terrible but was extremely tight schedule with good miles though, just over 3k. Now we’re picking up onions and going all the way over to Ma., another 3k run. If we can keep this up, may very well knock out my remaining 13k of tnt miles in couple weeks and get in my own truck. That said, this last load definitely took a toll on me a bit, even though tired after driving each shift, still hard to get a solid sleep time. Big thing here is to remember it’s not worth your life, someone elses life, or damage to property by sleeping at the wheel or poppin caffeine. A quick nap is much healthier all around. Stay safe

Prime’d and ready to go

Well, after a week hometime I am more than ready to get back on the road and get the last of my miles complete and get some money flowing again. Been great seeing my family again though after 7 weeks away, but being home isn’t paying the bills. See you all on the road shortly!!

Prime’d and ready to go

Well, here we are at our 90, some such place in the general area of Virginia close to Washington D.C. All I can say thus far is, “Are we there yet??”. So once this is unloaded, we had about 90 miles back North, and that load drops almost exactly in between our homes, which gives us our much needed home time. First time home in over a month, so some home time will be great. HOPEFULLY then, once back from home time, 3-4 more weeks and I’ll upgrade to an “A” seat and into my own truck! That said, everyone stay safe, and remember to wave a finger at the greyhounds!! shocked.png

Ahh yes, those nasty center circles.....

So today dropped at a Kroger in Indiana, picked up from Miami Fl. Naturally they took their sweet time unloading a half trailer load. Now at new 01 waiting to be loaded another hival for Ohio, then hopefully, next load will point us Southbound for some much needed home time. So far it has been a great experience, some days better than others which is to be expected. Now, it’s all about staying alert and safe and count those miles until I upgrade to my own truck. Stay safe !!!

Thanks Splitter! So last few days we’ve been running strong and our last load was a secure load from Columbus, Oh to Medley, Fl, so that was some good miles and we dropped as usual early. Now we’re headed from Miami, Fl to somewhere Indiana. After that, hard to say as we’ll be wanting to head back south for a much needed week off. Then hopefully 3-4 more weeks and back to Sprimo to get in my own truck! Stay safe everyone, and it’s okay, you can walk on the sidewalks when I’m around😏😏

Prime’d and ready to go

Well last week we moved a little over 5k mikes, had several hival loads and a fed ex run from Mississippi to Massachusetts. This week starting out is another thousand mile hival load so, all in all not bad. I’ve got the driving down, backing is, well it’s backing. Most of the time easy going, other times. You just wanna smack a trucker for parking ****-eyed. Easy going with shippers/receivers. Now it’s just getting down pat with paperwork and getting these miles under the tires. At current rate of mileage, hoping to be solo seat by mid August at latest with a week hometime.

Big thanks everyone! Didn’t sleep well on the road yesterday but we did end up sitting overnight so slept then. Today dead heading bout 320 miles to 01 then 1400 more to the 90, so at least getting some good miles now. See y’all on the flip side and stay safe!

Big thanks again everyone. I came into this knowing more than some and less than others, but thanks hugely to a fellow vapor I know who drives for Prime and this site and everyone here, I came in with a huge positive attitude, and the understanding that this was a big interview meant to push me to see if I could comprehend and adapt. Now the next phase is known as TNT, meaning Team driving to reach a goal of combined 30,000 driven safe miles. My trainer has been great, letting me watch and learn as much as possible, let me bump all the docks, deal with traffic, construction, shippers n receivers, so thanks to him for the help and giving my ego a nice pat on the back that got us both a test out bonus and getting ahead of the game for this phase which will hopefully get us some real team miles sooner than usual as there really isn’t much left for him to teach me that we won’t be able to go over during the first couple loads. Now the fun part, my wife would vouch for this, I rarely let other people drive when I’m in a vehicle which I obviously know I have to do now, but the part I will have problems with is sleeping while someone else drives.... that may take some “work” to break that issue. Especially in a big noisy rig compared to a car. But, just one more goal for me, and as I will not fail, I’ll adapt and before we all know it, I’ll be back here to Springfield jumping into my own truck. Be safe out there!!

Prime: Let's do this!

Great to hear about you getting back in to test out. Remember what you learn and also don’t be afraid to question the instructor test time on any questions you have, as I learned the worst he can say to you is he can’t give you a specific answer, meaning he’d be helping you more than he’s allowed but otherwise as I had found out, by asking a couple questions during the backing tests, my trainer and I had been misinformed on a couple details that may have ruined my perfect score on the backing tests and would’ve cost me. So don’t be afraid to ask. And take your time, you get a nice time allotment for each part so no rush. Best of luck to ya, we’re pulling out today on our first TNT load so Good Luck n be safe!
