And almost forgot, our class we’ve been told has been the largest supposedly in the last couple years, started out around 152 yesterday, as of today we’re down only about 12, but it’s only day 2. We’ll see over the next couple days see who’s still around. The biggest thing that is important is listening. They want you to pass, they need you on the road making them (and you) money, but amazing how hard that is for some. Do what your told, listen, study, and then apply all that, and next thing you know, you’ll be driving off into the sunset. Stay safe!

So today flew by with a little class time, file review, some folks still had physicals to finish and already a few gone due to urine fail and med issues. Others still working on or just now starting there computer labs, others like me who were on top of their requirements and studied have already completed their labs, got their med cards and CLP’s. Now some of us still have simulator labs this evening but otherwise this day is done. Tomorrow brings some more classes, sim time, and catch up for those that still aren’t caught up.

So, here we are first day complete after almost 39 grueling hours on Greyhound getting here late enough to only grab a 3 hour power nap, Orientation began. Remember, early is on time, on time is late!! That said, after several hours in class going over dos and dont’s, was able to complete an agility exam, consisting of standing, turning, climbing a couple steps, carrying and lifting crates of certain weights, lifting a tarp up head height on a shelf n back off and a few other odd things, did drug screen, some simulator time consisting of manual transmission shifting, double clutching, and a little rpm/shift technique work, also completed my med screen and now have my 2yr med card!! Also learned that my change in diet has also got me down another 9 lbs in the last 3 weeks. Also we have computer class courses we must do, which during my free evening I knocked a dozen out. So tonight I will grab a much needed full nights rest, as tomorrow brings some more class time, followed by background review, followed by a trip to the DMV to test out on General, Air Brakes, Combination, and Haz-Mat endorsement. Am I ready? You bet I am. After that some more computer course time and then a late night simulator class till almost midnight. That said, thanks to everyone here and my family for the great continued support and I’ll update again tomorrow on what happens. The big thing to take from all of this; PLAN ahead, PREPARE ahead, and SHOW UP EARLY!!!! Keep safe everyone!!
