58 year old Newbie. I just obtained my License July 30th 2016 and I'm looking to get to work. It's Been a little tough because I still need to be home a bit. I have two 28 year old twin young men, my step son's that are affected by autism and my dad in a nursing home. I'm sure we'll land something soon. Can't wait to get on the road!

New Driver: Driving Class B Straight Truck with New Class A, Helpful Experience or Not?
Hello Everyone! I recently obtained my Class A on July 30th and I would love to drive a Class A vehicle. I am going through the recruiting process with a company that I really want to work for. I had a good road test and filled out all the tax paperwork etc. and the process looks like it's going to drag out. What looked like a sure thing is maybe not so sure. Keeping this in mind, I have a seasonal job offer from a small local oil company and they look to be very good people. I went out and got my hazmat and tanker endorsements for this position. This is a 6 month seasonal position and I need to work(straight truck tanker), Trucking school long course was a drain on finances. Many tractor trailer companies want to see 3 months to a year experience. Will any of these companies see this as valuable experience? Thanks in advance for your experienced opinions.
