I need to decide between Prime, Schneider or Maverick

Okay, I looked at positions with different companies. Schneider's positions are listed @ Schneiderjobs.com. I asked the recruiters at different companies for realistic first year earnings. I finally settled on Schneider Van Truckload because the position most closely matched what I wanted.

After being with Schneider for two years now, I can still say that what the recruiter promised is what I got. No excuses, just promises fulfilled.

Please, please, please make sure you can verify what recruiters promise you.

I hope this helps.

Hi Steve. Thank you for your reply. I will definitely keep that in mind and try to verify what I am told by the recruiters.

I vote maverick lol no bias at all. I'm at the terminal now, I'm in the flatbed division but I may be able to answer some questions. By the way, you can't go wrong with any of these options.

Thank you for your reply. How many miles/week do you average? They told me that they have a $1,000/week guarantee. Do you average over that?

I tried to correct a spelling mistake.. :-)

Use the search bar on the home page. You will find a ton of info on those Companies. Rainy has posted extensively on Prime. Good Luck!

Thanks, Tractor Man. I have been reading about them on here, and will continue to do so. Yes, I enjoy her posts - very informative. I am leaning toward Prime, but want as much info as I can get before I make the final decision.

I need to decide between Prime, Schneider or Maverick

Hello everyone,

I have been accepted into all three of the above companies, and need to make a choice of which one to start out with. I am looking to start out in the tanker division of Prime or Schneider, or the Temperature Control division (reefer) of Maverick. I believe any one of these would be a great company to start out with, and there really isn't a wrong choice. All of them have pros and cons. From my research, all three have great training programs. I would just like some advise and/or guidance from people that may have some experience with these companies.

I didn't think it would be this tough to decide. I guess I have to decide what is more important for ME as far as pay, home time, length of training, and what division to start with, etc. I know that no one can make the decision for me, but I also know I am not the only one that has had to make a choice like this. I guess what I am looking for is some information on how others dealt with the pressure. Maybe it is as simple as a flip of a coin. I could most likely be happy anywhere that I go. I am eager to learn all I can about what it takes to be a safe and successful truck driver. I have a very positive attitude and am eager to take the next step on my journey. I just have to decide which direction to start walking.

Anyway, thank you for your time. I look forward to any help and guidance anyone has for me. If you had trouble picking a company, I would like to hear about how you made the decision.
