What did you do before becoming a truck driver?

The National Park Service declined to renew the lease on my watersports business location in WDC in 2012, and I have really struggled to find my footing since then. Prior to my Boathouse; I worked as a veterinary technician, medical assistant, pharmacy tech, necropsy tech, student of Forensic Science, and oh yeah, serving Eliot Spitzer types mainly in NYC, Chicago, Miami, and Dallas.

Ok so I've reached the age where I've just bought a.....

FRICKING urinal and pee pads 😂😡 I am 20+yrs post C-section, and I swear I counted my visits to the loo the other day and I **** you not: 28 times!! I am starting training in a few weeks and I am in a conundrum as to what to do when I'm piloting that rig alongside my male trainer whose bladder is the size of a laundry bag (you know the type; can down a 6-pk without dancing a jig) Don't even start about Kegeling or my caffeine/water ratio. My incontinence is something that I must have addressed (and I will, once my some insurance kicks in).

Has anyone out there just gone and peed while driving (wearing pads, obviously) How realistic is it to request a 'break for nature' every two hours? Aren't you supposed to check on cargo/tires anyway? Is it feasible to pee whilst in your bunk (I go at least 5x/night and expect the trek to the bathrooms is vast and disruptive) and isn't your instructor a mere few feet below/above you?

Any hard-earned wisdom is greatly appreciated.

Actually, it's a good time to get up and go to the bathroom.

Was not hired with the first trucking company I was with, lost my confidence, now what?

I find that the longer that I avoid something (anything really - anything that I've built up some anxiety about) and the longer that I ruminate, the greater the anxiety and the fear response. Get back up on that bike as soon as you can - because no action is, in fact, an action. Good luck.
